Here’s Pérez’s translated quote:
Everyone wants to come to the Santiago Bernabéu, and that’s why we are negotiating with Apple to be able to wear glasses and watch the match as if you were at the stadium. It would be the Infinite Santiago Bernebéu.
Understandably, Pérez doesn’t go into detail about the technical specifics of what’s being discussed with Apple. But based on what he does say, it’s clear that live immersive video for Vision Pro users is in mind.
The U.S. Patent Office Published the Largest Dump of Apple Vision Pro related patents in a single day (source)
On November 19, Patently Apple posted a report titled "Apple was granted 76 patents today covering Virtual Paper, a No Notch iPhone, 2 Master Vision Pro Patents and more." The report noted that we've many times before that there's no such thing as a single patent representing the entirety of an Apple device. You'll never find a single “iPhone” or “Vision Pro” patent. Instead, Apple files patents for parts of a device so that if they’re ever sued for patent infringement, they're not in jeopardy of having a device pulled from the market. For instance, in the case of Apple having to drop their Blood Oxygen feature, it didn’t mean the whole Apple Watch couldn't be sold.
Apple has been working on Vision Pro since at least 2008 (source)
Apple is noted for taking its time when it comes to entering new product categories, but a 2008 patent shows that the company had been working on Vision Pro for at least 15 years before it finally launched.
Both the patent drawing and the description of the device are remarkably consistent with the product that finally launched in 2024 …

Vision Pro Hack: Using the environment feature inverted (source)
Here’s what I do: I turn around, bring in the environment to about 90%, and then turn back around. This way, I keep a small portion of passthrough directly in front of me while being surrounded by the landscape. I actually prefer using it this way since I can take my room with in the virtual world, which suddenly feels gigantic.
Should Vision Pro marketing demos include FaceTime calls? (source)
The REAL problem with the Vision Pro marketing is that FaceTime calls aren’t part of the demo.
Sure, you can watch videos of people having these calls, but it’s like looking at someone’s vacation photos. They might be interesting, but let’s be honest—you’ll never feel as excited about them as they do.
Even if I tried to explain it—using phrases like, “It’s like magic” or “It really feels like presence”—it wouldn’t come close to capturing the essence of the experience. This isn’t something you grasp through logic or words; it’s something you need to experience firsthand.
Recently, I played “Battleships” on Game Room with my best friend while sitting on the coast in Hamburg, watching ships go by (yes, I see the irony). Even though we were in completely different parts of the world, it felt just like hanging out in real life. My brain adjusted to his Persona so disturbingly fast that I forgot I was actually alone on the beach.
