Apple Vision Pro to Support NVIDIA's 'GeForce NOW' Cloud Gaming Service via Safari (source)
NVIDIA announced at CES 2025 that it is collaborating with Apple to bring GeForce NOW to the Vision Pro using Safari, with updates to the platform expected to roll out later this month. This will enable users to access AAA titles with the power of NVIDIA's RTX technologies that leverage technologies like ray tracing and DLSS.
Apple Vision Pro owners will gain access to NVIDIA's extensive library of over 2,100 supported titles via the cloud, including upcoming AAA games such as Avowed and DOOM: The Dark Ages, without the need for local processing or a downloaded library. Using Safari eliminates the need for a Progressive Web App (PWA) installation, which has previously been a requirement on other Apple platforms.
Apple Vision Pro Helps to Train NVIDIA Robots (source)
Reports from this year’s CES suggest that Vision Pro is deeply involved in the forthcoming success of recent announcements. For example, NVIDIA debuted Issac GROOT at the event, an AI framework for advancing humanoid robotics, specifically for industrial and manufacturing sectors.
NVIDIA developers can leverage Apple Vision Pro devices in their Omniervse workflow to capture human movements as 3D spatial data or, in other words, a digital twin that a robot can replicate in a simulation or real-life scenario.
iOS 18.4’s new Siri powers promising for Vision Pro’s future (source)
Three new Siri superpowers coming in iOS 18.4
iOS 18.4 will launch to all users in April, and release in beta as early as next month.
When it arrives, Siri will gain three new superpowers:
New app actions: Apple says Siri will be able to perform hundreds of new actions in Apple apps, without the need to ever open those apps. App Intents will bring the same capability to supported third-party apps, too.
Personal context knowledge: Like a real-life assistant, you’ll be able to reference texts you received, past calendar events, and more personal data to get truly intelligent assistance from Siri.
Onscreen awareness: Siri will know what’s on your display, so you can easily ask it to take action on whatever you’re looking at.
Mark Zuckerberg Admits Apple Vision Pro Is Better Than Quest 3 For Watching Movies (source)
Mark Zuckerberg:
"They shipped something for $3500 that I think is worse than the thing that we shipped for $300 or $400. So that clearly was not going to work very well.
Now look, they're a good technology company. I think their second and third version will probably be better than their first version. I think the Vision Pro is one of their bigger swings at doing a new thing that they tried in a while, and I don't want to give them too hard of a time on it because we do a lot of things where the first version isn't that good, and you want to kind of judge the third version of it, but I mean, the v1 definitely did not hit it out of the park."
Gurman: Vision Pro 2 won’t release in 2025, but lower-cost headset is ‘ramping up’ (source)
According to Mark Gurman’s Power On newsletter, Apple is planning no sort of Vision Pro refresh in 2025. He mentions that it’s possible that Apple could theoretically unveil a headset ahead of a release next year, but all signs are pointing to new Vision Pro hardware launching in 2026 instead.
On the other hand, he reports that Apple’s more “urgent goal” is to create a cheaper headset, and Apple is ‘ramping up’ development for that headset.
Other analysts, such as Ming Chi-Kuo, had previously reported that Apple Vision Pro 2 would be on track to enter production in the second half of 2025. It was widely expected to implement the M5 chip and have support for Apple Intelligence, though there weren’t many other hardware changes rumored. Kuo also reported that Apple’s cheaper headset is delayed until at least 2027.
Improved Apple Vision Pro's EyeSight seen at CES (source)
Reverse video see-through glasses! UltraReality Technology's EyeBliss. It was clearer than Apple Vision Pro's EyeSight. The eye tracking sensor also tracks your gaze and blinking. In addition to supporting communication with your surroundings, which is a challenge with HMDs, it seems like it could be used for a variety of purposes! #CES #CES2025

AVP utility app called Dock Pro (source)
I found a great utility app called Dock Pro by @cmilburndesign that gives your Vision Pro a floating dock with quick access to apps, bookmarks, iMessage contacts, and shows the time and battery percentage of your Vision Pro. It’s fully customizable, and you can even add separators or gaps.
I keep it under my virtual ultrawide monitor all the time and use it to quickly open Music or start an iMessage conversation with my wife. So far, it has boosted my productivity a lot while working.
Apple has invented an adjustable light-blocking nosepiece system for future Vision Pro headsets (source)
A new Apple patent application covers ah HMD (head-mounted device) that may include a main housing unit, at least one display in the main housing unit, and a nosepiece coupled to the main housing unit. The nosepiece may be a light-shielding structure that includes rigid members, flexible members, and/or fabric members. The nosepiece may be removably coupled to the housing, such as with magnets.
The nosepiece may include an adjustable portion to change a curvature of the nosepiece and conform to a user's nose. The adjustable portion may be formed from a central portion of the nosepiece that can be loosened and tightened with respect to a peripheral portion of the nosepiece.
