Here's What Tim Cook Thinks About Apple's Vision Pro (source)
"I was thrilled with the release from the team on visionOS 26," said Cook, on Apple's earnings call on Thursday. "It includes many things in it, like Spatial Widgets to enable users to customize their digital space. The Personas took a huge increase, they're much more lifelike. And of course there's new enterprise APIs for companies as well."
"We continue to be very focused on it," added Cook. "I don't want to get into the roadmap on it, but this is an area that we really believe in."

Vision Pro Cyberpunk 32:9 Mac Virtual Display (source)
I posted a while back asking if this could be done so thought I’d follow up. I can’t post the video but here is a screen grab of Cyberpunk on an M4 Max running at for your Mac settings (so basically ultra) at 32:9 aspect ratio with a locked 60p. It looks stupid good 😀
See-through display of a real car with Apple Vision Pro (source)
I tried the see-through display of a real car with Apple Vision Pro. You can see the interior even with the hood closed. ObjectTracking was used for alignment. The creation of 3D data for tracking was done using #scaniverse #visionpro #createml #MINI

The Apple Vision Pro is the first camera that lets me capture my point of view. The Raybans can't record this long and the camera is slightly off to the side. Notice here that everyone looks straight at you. You are actually embodied into my head.
Gravitas Dark Matter is a space-arcade shooter built natively for Apple Vision Pro (source)
Gravitas Dark Matter is a space-arcade shooter built natively for Apple Vision Pro. It pairs a 10 × 10 × 100 ft spatial arena with pure eye-gaze firing—no controller required. The build now includes a physical, headset-anchored HUD; a custom gravity solver for smooth orbital motion; full-immersion and mixed-reality modes; and a real star-field rendered as 3-D geometry. If you’d like to evaluate the mechanics or share improvement ideas, the open TestFlight is here: https://testflight.apple.com/join/SsmPTnh8. All feedback welcome. #gravitasdarkmatter #applevisionpro #visionpro

Test-drove visionOS 26’s Shared Space with my own Apple Vision Pro app. After one persona hiccup, my world popped onto the headset right beside me. The future just got closer. 🚀

Samsung Will Finally Launch Its Rival to the Apple Vision Pro (source)
Samsung is getting ready to enter the extended reality arena.
After more than a year of rumors and teases, the South Korean tech giant’s first XR headset, known internally as Project Moohan, will hit the market before the end of 2025, Gizmodo reported.
It’s coming at a time when tech fanatics are still weighing the pros and cons of Apple’s Vision Pro, a $3,500 headset that’s impressed some and disappointed others.
Stanford’s new VR headset uses AI to fix device problem (source)
For all the pomp and circumstance around the Apple Vision Pro when it came out, it suffered from a fatal flaw.
The field of view, or how wide the display appears in front of your face, was just too narrow, according to some users. Virtual reality headsets are still extremely hamstrung by the hardware. I’ve always thought of this as a physics problem. Firing photons into eyeballs at close range is hard.

Solitaire XR - Looking for beta testers (source)
Since Apple announced the Vision Pro, I’ve been building a Solitaire game from the ground up as my side-project.
As you’d expect, it’s still Solitaire at its core, but I’ve put a lot of care into making it feel polished. Progress has been slow since free time to work on this is very limited and I handle all the tasks (code, 3D modeling and sound fx recorded with the iPhone 😅).
The game currently includes Klondike (Patience), Spider, and FreeCell but I want to add a couple more before release. There are already some customization options (decks, table materials, and fabrics) but I have some plans for more "complex" themes.
It will be free to play with an IAP to unlock everything. I’d love for you to try it out and share your feedback. Your suggestions would mean a lot at this stage!
Thanks in advance, and I hope you enjoy the game!

Experience beautiful immersive videos of Rocky Mountain National Park (source)
I'm excited to share the release of Parks Pass, a virtual companion to America's national parks.
Parks Pass features info about the parks, maps, photos, and immersive 10k 3d video in either 360º or 180º. The first park available is Rocky Mountain, but we hope to release other parks and videos soon.
This is the first native app I've built for the Vision Pro, so I'd love to hear what you think!
That’s all for now, know someone who might enjoy this newsletter? Please share with them! 🙏
Until next week 👋
