Apple iPad Pro, Vision Pro 2 Rumors: M5 Chip on Deck (source)
Apple just unveiled fresh iPhones, AirPods and Watches for the season, and updates for its other devices could follow soon.
Rumors are swirling of new MacBooks, a new iPad Pro and even an update to the nearly 2-year-old Apple Vision Pro. All these upcoming products could share one thing that hasn’t yet been announced: an M5 chip. Mark Gurman, an accurate source of Apple’s future roadmap, has been reporting about these being in the works for months.
Dual Knit Band could make Apple Vision Pro more bearable to wear (source)
One of the frequent complaints about the Apple Vision Pro is that it can get uncomfortable to wear over long periods of usage. Apple may be coming up with a solution that could make it easier and more comfortable to wear its headset display.
Backend code discovered by MacRumors references an accessory known as the “Dual Knit Band.” Apple doesn’t currently sell such a band for the Apple Vision Pro at the time of reporting.
However, it does ship the Apple Vision Pro with the Solo Knit Band and the Dual Loop Band. It is possible that this new band is a cross between the two styles, combining the Knit comfort with the support of multiple bands.
visionOS 26 Review: Keep moving toward the future (source)
If visionOS and the Vision Pro are all about charting a course to the future of wearable devices in front of our eyes, Apple needs to keep pushing toward that future at every opportunity. Fortunately, visionOS keeps moving forward, with several substantial feature improvements that have rolled out in updates over the past year-plus.
The ultimate fate of Apple’s vision products remains unclear. I have to assume that the long-term goal is a pair of lightweight glasses that we can use to overlay software on top of our world. Everything between now and then is about developing the technology to make that possible. And with visionOS 26, Apple is doing what it needs to be doing: iterating, making everything better, and building out an entirely new operating system one block at a time.

Second-gen Apple Vision Pro revealed in FCC filings (source)
The next-generation Apple Vision Pro headset has been spotted in official U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filings, confirming Apple’s upcoming hardware refresh.
Documents published by the FCC reference an Apple-designed “Head Mounted Device” with the model number A3416, accompanied by images that clearly identify the product as a Vision Pro.
The filings include Apple’s confidentiality request, transmission tests, SAR test reports, and WLAN test reports. While no details of new features are disclosed, the documents confirm that the device continues to support Wi-Fi 6, with no indication of 6GHz Wi-Fi.
