Apple Vision Pro Brings a New Era of Spatial Computing to Business
Apple has done an amazing job this week rounding up all the enterprise ready apps on the Apple Vision Pro. Traditionally Apple does not have a lot of success breaking into the corporate world but Apple Vision Pro might have something unique here. There just simply isn’t a headset with the same level of technology combined with the maturity of the development platform. The question now is how quickly will AVP be adopted within fortune 500 before other platforms catch up.
More use cases and details can be found on Apple’s site.
Deloitte Digital Expands Apple Practice, Launches New Academy for Apple Vision Pro to Empower Enterprises
Accompanying Apple’s announcement, is Deloitte’s own announcement of their AVP initiative.
"We are excited to see enterprises across sectors harness the creative potential of Apple Vision Pro, giving birth to new ideas and applications. Apple's commitment and credibility in this space and their App Store for visionOS now provides organizations with an investable and long-term place to develop their enterprise and customer applications."
— Mike Brinker, principal and Apple Alliance leader at Deloitte Digital
"The expansion of Deloitte's Apple practice and launch of their new Academy for Apple Vision Pro will help enterprises quickly take advantage of the new era of spatial computing. Deloitte has been instrumental in helping their worldwide client base revolutionize how they work using iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and Apple Vision Pro is the next phase in our strategic partnership."
— Susan Prescott, Apple's vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations and enterprise marketing
CT Scans of the Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest Pro, and Meta Quest 3
Lumafield conducted non-destructive CT scans of the Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest Pro, and Meta Quest 3 headsets to explore their internal designs rather than compare performance. It’s really interesting how the scans can highlight there difference in design philosophies: Apple prioritizes complex internal layouts for performance without compromising design, while Meta focuses on accessibility and cost-effectiveness with simpler constructions.
Review From Industrial Design Experts at Grovemade
I’ve been a delighted customer of Grovemade’s headphone stands and was happy to see their take on the Apple Vision Pro coming from a industrial design perspective.
It feels to me like they pulled in people from every single team at Apple to work on this. You've got the Apple Watch dials on there. You have the headphones, you have the glass research and the machined metal frame, like chassis, and you have the soft goods side of the business as well.

Launch of Gucci Experience on the AVP
Gucci this week launched - “Who is Sabato De Sarno? A Gucci Story,” a 20-minute short documentary narrated by Paul Mescal. Gucci delivers an experience that is as expansive or concise as desired. The app is segmented into interactive and immersive vignettes, which narrate the events of the week leading up to the debut runway show of Sabato De Sarno, Gucci's newest creative director, who assumed the role in January 2023.
Apple and Disney's Unique Bond: Why Vision Pro Needs the Mouse
2 Months Review From Engadget
Overall an average piece but with fair criticism on the content which equally baffles me as well.
I'm not expecting a tsunami of Immersive Video content, since the Vision Pro is still an obscenely expensive device meant for developers and professionals, but it would be nice to see more of a push from Apple. The company is teasing another six-minute episode of Prehistoric Planet for later this month, but again that isn't really much. Where are the creators pushing Immersive Video to new heights? While the content is likely hard to work with since it's shot in 3D and 8K, the format could be a perfect way for Apple to extol the virtues of its new chips.
Some Apple Vision Pro users suffer black eyes, headaches and neck pain
MarketWatch reporting some users of the Apple Vision Pro headset are experiencing physical discomforts such as black eyes, headaches, and neck pain after use. Complaints include swollen eyes, pain at the base of the skull, and difficulty with the headset's weight on the cheeks.
Personally I did not have any comfort issues with my unit, although I did have to resort to a custom strap at the top in combination with the solo strap. This is an area that I do feel Apple has underestimated the variability of human heads. I was thoroughly impressed with the level of customization offered at the launch of the Apple Watch (different watch sizes, band sizes etc). However, it has become increasingly apparent that the variability in human head and facial structures is significantly greater than that of wrists.
