Synchron Announces First Use of Apple Vision Pro with a Brain Computer Interface (source)
Synchron, the brain-computer interface (BCI) company, today announced the world’s first-ever use of Apple Vision Pro, by one of the patients implanted with the Synchron brain computer interface.
BCI is a platform to re-connect people with injury or disease back to the fast-moving consumer technology landscape. Vision Pro is a powerful system, but it relies on the use of hand gestures to exert control over the UI. We are sending control signals directly from the brain to replace the need for hand gestures. We are moving towards a new Bluetooth standard for Human Computer Interactions that do not require touch or speech. This is a critical unmet need for millions of people with paralysis.
NVIDIA Accelerates Humanoid Robotics Development with Apple Vision Pro (source)
First, developers use Apple Vision Pro to capture a small number of teleoperated demonstrations. Then, they simulate the recordings in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and use the MimicGen NIM microservice to generate synthetic datasets from the recordings.
The developers train the Project GR00T humanoid foundation model with real and synthetic data, enabling developers to save time and reduce costs. They then use the Robocasa NIM microservice in Isaac Lab, a framework for robot learning, to generate experiences to retrain the robot model. Throughout the workflow, NVIDIA OSMO seamlessly assigns computing jobs to different resources, saving the developers weeks of administrative tasks.

Tubi is now available on Apple Vision Pro (source)
The biggest free ad-supported streaming service is now available on Apple Vision Pro. Tubi — the Fox-owned service that has more than 250,000 movies and TV episodes, and more than 250 live channels — can now be loaded onto Apple’s VR platform. It’s still free, and it still has ads, of course. And the inclusion on Apple Vision Pro brings the number of platforms Tubi supports to just shy of three dozen.
Waterfield Backpack for Apple Vision Pro review: spatial commuting (source)
The Backpack for Apple Vision Pro feels close to perfection and is perfectly unique. There isn't much to improve upon, but the eye-watering cost and odd design choices limit it to a 4 out of 5.
While the Backpack casts a nice silhouette, we still miss features like a water bottle holder. And if those weird inner pockets could be made more useful, and that would help elevate the product further.
