There’s a moment in Metallica, the new three-song concert video Apple released for the Vision Pro yesterday, where Metallica lead singer James Hetfield is kneeling on the edge of the stage, engaged with a single fist-pumping audience member. Hetfield leans in to within inches of his face as he and the fan scream, before the singer stands and moves on. The spotlight follows Hetfield away but the camera stays put, lingering as the concert-goer reacts to what just happened. He falls back against the crowd and then pitches forward, steadying himself on the stage, then buries his face in his elbow, crying.

Lowe's made the Vision Pro experience available to customers at select stores in North Carolina, California, and New Jersey, but now it is expanding to five Lowe's locations in Austin, Texas and the surrounding area. Lowe's said that its pilot test was successful, which is why the Vision Pro will roll out to new locations.
Lowe's Style Studio lets customers view a 3D kitchen environment that can be customized with hundreds of real-world materials, fixtures, and appliances. The app is available in the Vision Pro App Store, but customers who do not have a Vision Pro can use it at Lowe's stores.
Since the initial test run, Lowe's has added new options including trending colors and popular kitchen designs. There's also a new teleport feature that lets users view their kitchen from different viewpoints within the room, without moving.

Daily reminder that immersive video, especially in 16K, is already the ultimate killer feature for Vision Pro and the amount of content is growing faster than ever—so nothing “dead” here.
“Mindscape”, from the makers of “Story” is the latest addition to my list of apps that I’ll now recommend to anyone. 16K + 180° + 3D alone is a feast for the eyes, but when paired with the right experiences—like chilling on a beach, waking up in a luxurious hotel room, or flying over a city—it’s hard not to be completely blown away by this technology.
This truly feels like a way to give your mind a break and escape to beautiful places.

GeekVR it has a much flatter / wider profile compared to my 23W, and I get about 5% more FOV. It’s more comfortable for my head shape, but the ice silk fabric has folds and may leave indentations on your face compared to the Vision Pro.
The wider profile will actually make it pop out easily / pop in more difficult as it pushes against the white straps. The Vision Pro would just glide in (as it’s more narrow).
The head guard which is mechanically clicked on, is very easy to remove. The Anna pro V2 provides better weight distribution on the top of the head so the Vision Pro can just hang down, but this head guard distributes the pressure toward your face. I will still probably use this over the Anna Pro V2 as I seldom use it without the light seal / get eye strain when I do.
