Homerise For Apple Vision Pro Makes Smart Homes A Reality (source)
Smart homes have been promised for decades while the reality of functionality and features remain out of reach for a range of technical reasons. One such reason still with us today is that a physical switch installed on a lamp in the 20th century can effectively take the device offline by simply killing the power at the wrong point in the circuit. But what if you could place digital switches at more convenient places accessible from your favorite seat while wearing a headset? You could press those virtual buttons instead, essentially short-circuiting yourself from accidentally taking one of your smart lights off the network when you flipped that old-fashioned physical switch. That's what the immersive view in Homerise is for on Apple Vision Pro.
Beautiful Things app update -- our most beautiful update yet (source)
I’m super pumped to release a new version of Beautiful Things, almost exactly one year after our first launch on visionOS.
Thank you for every bit of feedback, bug report, and encouragement along the way. This update is the result of months of exploring and refining. I’m continually inspired by the builders in this community (you know who you are) and I can't wait to see what visionOS looks like in a few years. In the meantime I hope you enjoy what's new today.
Some highlights you might find beautiful:
A new virtual sandbox (inspired by Apple Park) where you can build together with friends using SharePlay.
AI 3D creation v2—imagine an object and watch it appear in front of you in seconds.
500+ additional objects -- from retro tech to museum-grade artifacts.
Step into the future of luxury with Bulgari official Infinito app (source)
Step into the future of luxury with @Bulgariofficial Infinito app debuting on the AppleVisionPro App Store. A first in the world of jewelry, the app allows users to delve into Bvlgari’s magnificent High Jewelry creations through interactive and immersive virtual journeys.
The next Apple Vision Pro could drop sooner than you think (source)
Apple’s Vision Pro plans seem to diverge a little bit here, as there’s a bit of a battle between the all-in-one spatial computing vision that the company has and the most-used feature — tethering to a Mac.
Bloomberg is reporting there are two sequels to AVP: the lighter and cheaper successor that is set to launch soon, and a tethered option that connects via cable to a Mac. This one could be even smaller and lighter, as all that processing is done on the computer rather than in the headset.

Mexico Vision on Vision Pro is one of the coolest ways to explore a country (source)
Mexico Vision on Vision Pro is one of the coolest ways to explore a country. Step into ancient temples, walk through 3D landmarks, and learn about agave, mariachi, chocolate, and more all from your home. Highly recommend for a dose of culture and immersion.

The Lungy: Spaces app on Apple Vision Pro helps manage your anxiety (source)
Inspired by ancient meditation practices like Tibetan singing bowls, the app lets users interact with virtual instruments to create their own relaxing soundscapes. This immersive 3D environment uses RealityKit, Spatial Audio, and hand gestures, and each user can regulate the app’s immersion levels based on their own preferences.
Lungy: Spaces was developed by health tech company Pia and NHS doctor Luke Hale, who also created the Lungy iPhone app, which offers breathing exercises to people with respiratory problems.
Bloom rainbow sines with a shader graph demo (source)
Bloom rainbow sines (shader graph) + ARKitRoomTracking I hesitated for a long time about whether to share this or not, because even after the release of visionOS 2, I still don’t have access to occlusion for recognized objects like a sofa, etc., but oh well, let it be.
New AVP stand concept looking for feedback (source)
I’m genuinely looking for thoughts. If any of you have stands, what do you like or not like? I actually printed a version of this stand, but it leaned too far forward and it didn’t give me peace of mind at that angle. This version leans it back more and makes it feel much safer. The backside has an indention to place the battery and there’s also a cable hanger on the backside for cable management.
