Apple will announce visionOS 26 at WWDC, not visionOS 3 (source)
Apple is planning a huge shakeup to its naming scheme for software updates. Bloombergreports that this year’s iOS update won’t be called iOS 19 after all. Instead, Apple is planning to call it “iOS 26” as part of a new year-based naming strategy.
9to5Mac’s Take
My first reaction to this news was confusion. The more I think about it, though, the more it makes sense. It’s always been tricky to remember version numbers across Apple’s platforms, especially when the version numbers are close, but not exactly the same (think iOS 18 vs macOS 15 vs watchOS 12). Those numbers are just close enough to make you pause.
My second reaction to this news was: “Ok, so wouldn’t this year’s update be iOS 25, not iOS 26?” After all, the calendar currently says 2025.
What “feature-packed” visionOS 26 could looks like (source)
n less than two weeks, we’ll finally get to see what a “feature-packed” visionOS 3 looks like. I’m already hyped, so I put together all my predictions and wishlist features into a mini Bingo card. No matter what they end up announcing, it’ll be super exciting to see where the Vision ecosystem is headed.

With iOS 26, macOS 26, tvOS 26, and watchOS 26, Apple is planning to debut a new design that's been described as taking inspiration from visionOS, the newest operating system. With WWDC coming up soon, we thought we'd take a closer look at visionOS and some of the design details that Apple might adopt based on current rumors and leaked information.

D-Day: The Camera Soldier is a spatial documentary out now exclusively on Apple Vision Pro.
Priced at $5 on the App Store, the experience blends 3D video, immersive video, and rendered scenes to tell the story of combat cameraman Richard Taylor, who captured some of the most iconic footage of D-Day during the initial invasion. It's produced by TARGO, in collaboration with TIME Studios.

Wordbound Is A Language Puzzler Coming Soon To Apple Vision Pro (source)
Announced during the Creature Feature 2025 showcase, Wordbound is the debut title from Kettle Games that lets players pull apart objects to see how they're spelt, before remixing them to create new words and solve visual puzzles. Intended to be relaxing and unobtrusive, Wordbound uses hand tracking with the interactive objects only occupying a small space within your play area.
The project is being helmed by Andy Bacon, a developer whose previous work includes the 4v1 “cross-reality” multiplayer game Davigo, which pits PC players against VR players. Bacon is joined by 3D artist Kassondra Krahn, who formerly worked on Luigi's Mansion 3 with Next Level Games. Adrian Talens rounds out the team as the studio's sound designer and composer.

Apple Vision Pro is the most beautifully crafted piece of technology this decade, and visionOS is simply stunning. I’m excited to see this design language coming over to the rest of Apple’s software at WWDC26 in 10 days.

Fan made AVP launch film made in Blender, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve (source)
I started this AppleVisionPro launch film 2 years ago. And I never finished it. Imposter syndrome, client work, and perfectionism got in the way. But now? I’m kinda glad I waited.

The nostalgia hits hard. I was just a kid building empires in RollerCoaster Tycoon. Now I’m doing it again on a 100-inch Mac Virtual Display inside Vision Pro. Thanks Apple Arcade. Goodbye productivity.
visionOS is the ultimate productivity machine (source)
Vision Pro remains an absolute productivity beast—and since I feel like not enough people realize this yet, I wanted to share one of my favorite workflows when working on my favorite Spatial Computer.
When I’m designing, I usually use the ultrawide feature, with sticky notes floating around to track my tasks, a Pomodoro timer to keep me focused, and an app that turns my physical desk into a literal drawing board.
I actually get more work done and the best part - I have that same setup wherever I go. I never have to adapt my workflow to the location, which is just super cool.
Someone asked me about showing gameplay examples while using the Portal app in visionOS and since I can’t add multiple at a time, here’s one of a few posts I’m making to reference back to the main one: https://www.reddit.com/r/VisionPro/comments/1kyhbzw/comment/muzqc33
I use Siri all the time on my Apple Vision Pro. She’s incredibly fast. I hope she gets better in future on other Apple devices.
