Apple Code Confirms Vision Pro With M5 Chip (source)
Rumors of a Vision Pro 2 with an updated M-series chip have been circulating since last year, but there was some confusion over which chip the device would use. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the Vision Pro would have an M5 chip, but Bloomberg's Mark Gurman claimed that it would use the same M4 chip that's in the latest MacBook Air and iPad Pro models rather than the M5.
Based on Apple's code, it looks like the next-generation Vision Pro will use the M5 chip.
Vision Pro 2 is coming soon, with three new upgrades expected (source)
#1: M4 or M5 chip
#2: New, more comfortable head strap
#3: Upgraded Neural Engine for AI and more
Mark Gurman writes at Bloomberg:
Apple is also testing versions of the new device that increase the number of cores inside of the neural engine — a component for processing artificial intelligence tasks. The neural engine in the current Vision Pro includes 16 cores, a measure of processing power. These capabilities are critical for a device that relies on AI for the live processing of imagery and applications in complex virtual environments.
Apple Seeds Beta 6 Of watchOS 26, tvOS 26, And visionOS 26 (source)
As Apple nears the end of the testing cycle of its future software updates, the company has just released beta 6 of watchOS 26, tvOS 26 and visionOS 26. These versions will power current and future Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro models.
All of these operating system updates bring the new Liquid Glass design to their respective platforms. With watchOS 26 beta 6, you can see it more clearly in the bubbly passcode screen, the Control Center, and the Notification Center. tvOS 26 and visionOS 26, meanwhile, offer tweaked icons to reflect the bigger changes on iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS Tahoe.

On set right now with Blackmagic for *first ever* immersive commercial (source)
Today is a milestone I've been waiting for a long time.
For those who don't know, my company Sandwich Video has been pioneering next-level commercials for the world's most important tech companies for 15 years (Slack, Airbnb, Perplexity, Uber, Square, Robinhood, you name it). We're also the makers of the Theater app for visionOS, so we love the space.
That means we're always on the edge of what's coming next. Today, we're shooting a spot for a robotics company you'll probably know about very soon. So I brought out our new URSA Cine Immersive camera and am shooting a version for Apple Immersive Video while the rest of this pro crew makes the one for 2D rectangles.
I feel like this group specifically will understand how exciting it is to live in this future.

SailGP’s new RaceScape XR app on Vision Pro blew me away. Live data, onboard cams, AR race maps, multi-screen feeds. It puts you right in the middle of the action. More sports need this. Highly recommend.

In a landmark moment for both consumer tech and the global gaming industry, Stake.com has announced full integration across Apple platforms—becoming the first online casino to offer a native experience on Apple Vision Pro.
This move doesn’t just mark another feature update. It represents a paradigm shiftin how immersive technology could redefine digital gambling. With live dealers rendered in augmented space, multi-slot gameplay layered across your field of view, and responsive spatial audio simulating the casino floor—Stake.com is transforming what it means to “play online.”
Future Apple Vision Pro may add more touch controls (source)
For a device that is primarily intended to interpret gestures, the Apple Vision Pro doesn't come with many buttons. There's only the Apple Watch-like Digital Crown, and the iPhone-like top physical button, but Apple seems to see fitting more options in as a personal challenge.
In a newly-granted patent called "Touch Sensitive Input Surface," Apple proposes adding "a touch sensitive surface incorporated into the cover to receive input from a user for the head-mountable device."
More specifically, Apple has been looking at "light seals for head-mountable devices that include touch-sensitive input surfaces." The light seal gives the Apple Vision Pro user a distraction-free working space by blocking out views of the outside environment.
Apple Patent introduces Eye-Monitoring feature for a future version of Vision Pro that will Enhance a user’s Comfort & Awareness (source)
Apple has filed a patent for a head-mountable device that actively monitors and responds to the user's eye conditions, aiming to improve comfort, alertness, and interaction in augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mixed reality (MR) environments. This innovative system uses a combination of sensors and output mechanisms to detect eye moisture levels, blinking patterns, and gaze direction, and then prompts the user to take corrective actions when necessary.

I used an Otoscope with an Apple Vision Pro to look what's inside my ears!! Fun experiment — but here’s the real story: Surgeons are already using Vision Pro in operating rooms. The potential for healthcare is huge — real-time patient data, AI-assisted diagnosis, and global collaboration.
Announcing our first SharePlay game for Vision Pro (source)
Indie developer here, and we've been working on something this community has been asking for since day one. After getting the headset at launch, we've been amazed at the quality of SharePlay and the sense of presence, but said we didn't have enough activities to do while chatting.
So, we're hoping to lay the groundwork to release a series of games. This is just the first!
"Well, what is it??" you ask:
It's a Connect 4-style game called "TacTile" that's designed from the ground up for Vision Pro's SharePlay. It will also have a singleplayer mode!
